This
style of brown leather, full lace-up boot was worn by the SA
(Sturmabteilung) during the 'Kampfzeit' (Years of Struggle) period,
predominantly 1923-1929. By 1929,
the eponymous German Jackboot began to replace the lace-up, 'Kampfzeit boot.'
The SA 'Kampfzeit' boot was almost obsolete by 1933.
